Dinnerware

Craft Presentation

The birth of a ceramic tableware piece begins with the precise mixing and blending of raw materials such as clay, feldspar, and quartz. Then, it is shaped into a vessel form through handcrafting or mold techniques. After drying and trimming, it undergoes an initial high-temperature bisque firing to strengthen the body. Next, a glaze is applied, which can be done by dipping, spraying, or other methods, to give it a glossy surface and protection. Finally, it is fired in a kiln at around 1200°C for the crucial glaze firing, completing the final transformation, allowing the glaze and body to fully fuse and form a dense, smooth surface. Some tableware is also decorated with techniques such as decal application or hand-painting, ultimately becoming utensils that combine practicality and aesthetic appeal in our daily life.
